Park #1: Flamingo Park & Pool- Centrally located in the middle of South Beach, this park is fully equipped with tennis courts, a baseball field, basketball courts, a soccer field, a racquetball court, large playground, track and field, two enclosed dog parks, and yes, a community pool! If you’re looking to spend the day being active or like to play with your dogs at the park, this is the perfect place for you.

Park #2: Pine Tree Park- Nestled about 4 blocks north of 41st St, Pine tree Park is a serene waterfront park with lots of large and shady Banyan trees, free parking, and ample green space to enjoy. It is also very dog friendly and has two fenced dog areas where your furry pooch can roam without a leash. They also have a kayak launching pad into Indian Creek and you can even rent a garden space to grow your very own fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs!

Park #3: Lummus Park- This vast beachfront park stretches along Ocean Drive and the Atlantic Ocean all the way from 5th Street to 15th Street and is thoroughly enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. With white sandy beaches, the clear turquoise ocean, a long scenic boardwalk, plenty public bathrooms, and abundant restaurants and bars, you can spend the entire day here and never get bored. If you want to work on your beach bod, don’t fret, there are several exercise machines available and even volleyball nets to play a game or two. This clean and safe park is also a great place to people watch, if you’re into that sort of thing!

Park #4: South Pointe Park- A hidden gem in a posh urban neighborhood, South Pointe Park is a lovely addition to an already terrific community. With a broad bike/jog path that borders Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, a leashless dog park, an ocean-themed playground, and picturesque pier, this park makes living or visiting South of Fifth a luxury. Here you will see people working out, picnicking, fishing, rollerblading, reading, and genuinely enjoying some quality time outdoors. There are even free sunset yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6pm!

PARK #5: North Shore Open Space Park- Located in North Miami Beach, this tranquil oceanfront park boasts, as it’s name suggests, lots of open space. From sprawling beaches without many people to plentiful lawns, there are a lot of great amenities at this wonderful park. Amongst large old trees, there are various BBQ grills, picnic tables, two enclosed dog parks depending on their size, workout stations, and if you are looking to host a party, you can rent a seaside cabana for the day. If you prefer the more secluded, less busy park experience, be sure to check this place out!
